Stover Landing Commons was the creative child of two successful businesses serving the Lake Almanor Area, Cravings Cafe, Espresso Bar & Bakery and B & B Booksellers. Cravings’ owners Heath and Christi Chase along with B & B Booksellers owners Susan Bryner and Dawn Gray wanted to create a space where the local community, as well as visitors to the Lake Almanor area, could come together with friends and family for good food, art, literature, and music.
Stover Landing Commons is located on Stover Creek in the center of Main Street, Chester, California. Chester sits at the base of Lassen Peak, in beautiful Lassen Volcanic National Park, and on the shores of Lake Almanor. The historic Stover Landing building was built by resident and store owner Harry Kan in 1930. The Kan family home sat on Gay Street across from the Weslyn Church until the late 30’s when Harry moved it, lock stock and barrel to its current location on the creek to give his children more room to play outside.
Today, Stover Landing serves as a blog for all of our customers and online readers. Please feel free to reach us at stoverlanding@gmail.com if you have any questions.
